Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from working with my doctor?

Your doctor plays an important role, and we're not here to replace that.

But conventional medicine is built to catch disease and manage it, usually with medication. It's not designed to look at the layer underneath your symptoms, the cellular and mineral patterns that drive how you actually feel day to day. That's why you can sit across from a good doctor, have your labs come back "normal," and still walk out exhausted, foggy, and no closer to an answer.

That underneath layer is exactly where we focus. We're not checking for disease or prescribing medication. We're looking at what's driving your symptoms in the first place, the part standard care was never set up to see. The two work together, your doctor managing your medical care, and us addressing what's underneath it.

I've already worked with a naturopath or functional practitioner. How is this different?

A lot of functional practitioners mean well, but the pattern is usually the same: run a test, hand you a stack of supplements, and send you on your way.

That's not what this is. The difference comes down to a few things:

(a) You finally get answers, not more dead ends. We look at your body from several angles, including your cellular stress pattern, the layer that's almost never checked and the one that often explains why nothing has worked.

(b) We take the guesswork out of what to eat. No more wondering if the food on your plate is helping or hurting. You get a clear way of eating built around your body, the single biggest thing you can influence every day.

(c) You stop carrying this alone. Someone's in your corner the whole way, adjusting as your body changes and making sure you always know your next step. For most women, that's the part that finally makes the difference.

What about my thyroid medication?

We do not prescribe, change, or manage medication, and we'd never tell you to stop or adjust anything, that decision always stays between you and your prescribing doctor. Most women we work with are on thyroid medication, and it doesn't get in the way of anything we do. We're focused on the drivers underneath, the part your prescription was never designed to reach.

As you start feeling different, we always encourage you to keep your doctor in the loop. You and your doctor may decide it's worth revisiting your medication together, and if so, that's a conversation we fully support you having. We just never direct it ourselves.

What actually happens on the call? Is it just a sales pitch?

It's a real working session, not a pitch.

We'll start with you, your situation, what you've been dealing with, and what you've already tried. Then we'll go through your Symptom Decoder results and your recent thyroid markers, so I can show you the patterns that have been missed and start uncovering what's actually driving how you feel. It's the kind of clarity most women haven't gotten in years of appointments.

From there, we'll figure out together whether my process is the right fit for you, and if it's not, I'll point you toward what would serve you better. You're never pressured into anything.

I'm exhausted and busy. Is this going to be one more thing I can't keep up with?

Less than you'd think, because most of this isn't extra. It's upgrading what you're already doing.

We're not asking you to overhaul your life or add hours to your day. A lot of it is simply doing what you already do, in a way that actually works for your body. And we start where you are and build at a pace that works for you, so it never turns into one more thing you're scrambling to keep up with.

Can you help if I don't have a thyroid, or if it was partially removed?

Yes. This work applies to you just as much.

If your thyroid was removed or partly removed, you will always have to take thyroid hormone, and that doesn't change. But getting your energy, your focus, and your metabolism back depends on the deeper systems we focus on, the ones that keep running whether you have a thyroid or not. So the path looks the same for you as it does for anyone else, and the same principles still bring real change.

Why PPP Is Different

Standard Care Manages Symptoms.

PPP Builds Capacity.

Most Parkinson's care is reactive — wait for decline, then adjust medication. The Parkinson's Power Protocol is proactive: build the reserves that make you resilient.

Care

Holistic, systemic approach

Five integrated pillars — athletic, restorative, metabolic, cognitive & emotional — working as one system.

Builds motor, cognitive & physiological reserve

Three layers of protection — your shield against further degeneration, not just symptom management.

Muscle mass, bone density, strength & power

Progressive overload builds the physical engine — not gentle exercises that maintain the status quo.

Neuroplasticity, neurogenesis & angiogenesis

Training that rewires neural pathways, grows new neurons, and builds new blood vessels in the brain.

Mitochondrial biogenesis & energy production

Structured high-intensity training grows new mitochondria — your cells’ power plants. More energy, less fatigue.

Neurotrophic factors & myokine release

Muscles as chemical factories — releasing BDNF, irisin & protective signalling molecules that shield the brain.

Mobility, flexibility & fall prevention

Sensorimotor and balance training to maintain independence, range of motion & confidence in movement.

Aims to reduce medication dependency

Builds your system’s capacity so medication works better — and in many cases, doses can be discussed for reduction with your neurologist.

Sleep, gut health & glymphatic brain detox

Optimised recovery clears alpha-synuclein, reduces inflammation & protects brain infrastructure.
